G Passier and Sohn have been making saddles for the past 140 years, since 1867. All of their tack is handmade using the highest quality materials. The Passier saddles are built around one of two different types of tree. The patented PS saddle tree which is made of wood or the synthetic tree which is made of elastomere. This material will not break with normal use plus synthetic saddles from Passier come with a 10 year guarantee. Both saddle trees are designed to give the horse and ride optimum comfort. The PS saddle tree is made with bamboo strips incorported into the frame and available in 16",17",18" and 19". Saddles made with the synthetic saddle tree come in sizes 15.5",16",17" and 18".

Passier dressage saddles are all made with a narrow twist which means that the rider maintains a very close contact with the horse. All saddles are also made with an adjustable gullet plate with a channel width of at least 5cm (2"). The Passier saddle is also made with a non-slip seat leather to help maintain a secure, deep seat when riding. The flocking is synthetic which means that the saddle should hold its shape for many years and, combined with gusseted panels, this enlarges the surface that comes into contact with the horses back thus giving an improved fit.
