The Ideal Elizabeth dressage saddle (350) is a close contact saddle with knee blocks and wool flocked panels. These dressage saddles are great for smaller, short backed horses and come with many different sized trees so they are very adjustable width wise, all you need to do is send it to Ideal and they can adjust the width of the tree. Made in quality english leather couple with a Y girth for added stability.

The Ideal Roella dressage saddle was made in much the same design as the Ideal Suzannah, the Ideal Roella (1350) dressage saddle is built around a saddle tree with a narrower waist thereby making it more suitable for the smaller rider.

Made in Memel solid with a hide seat and knee pads along with a cut back pomel to facilitate the horses wither movement.

The Roella is available in sizes 16.5" 17" 17.5" 18"

The Ideal Suzannah dressage saddle has been designed with the well schooled horse in mind.

When schooled well the horse can develop a particular back profile, therefore the Suzannah has had a new saddle tree designed to facilitate this.

The Ideal Suzannah (1650) has a cut back pommel is made of Memel solid with a hide seat and knee pads.

The Ideal Tonishia dressage saddle is designed to allow the muscles at the horses wither to move with maximum freedom.

The Ideal Tonishia has been primarily designed for horses trained to advanced level, when trained correctly the muscles at the base of the wither can increase considerably.

The Ideal Tonishia is also suitable for some Warmbloods, Lusitano and Andalusian horses where this particular muscle mass occurs naturally. The Tonishia dressage saddle is made of ’Texo’ leather and calf leather seat and knee pads.

Podkhajsky Dressage Saddles

The Ideal Podhajsky Dressage saddle has an illustrious history. It was originally designed over 20 years ago as a result of a meeting with Alfred Adams, Col. Alois Podhajsky and the then director of the Spanish Riding School before the design was purchased by Ideal.

The Podhajsky saddle has been used throughout the Spanish Riding School in training and working with the Lipizzaner horses. Interestingly the Podhajsky dressage saddle uses normal length girth straps such as those used in GP saddles, this is because Col. Podhajsky felt that it was kinder and more comfortable for the horse.

Note* Col. Alois Podhajsky wrote the best selling Complete Training of Horse and Rider, the definitive dressage "bible" for any serious dressage rider or trainer.

Ideal Jessica Professional

A step on from the Jessica dressage saddle comes the Ideal Jessica Professional which is designed on a special saddle tree having a bigger panel to facilitate a larger bearing area to help distribute weight more evenly, with a wide gullet to enable the saddle to fit over a larger area of the withers whilst still allowing maximum freedom of movement through the shoulder.

With larger kneerolls than it's sister, the Jessica Professional is an affordable and stylish dressage saddle.

The Jessica saddles can be rather larger in the seat and have a wider twist than the norm and when they stipulate a wide fit, they mean it - the saddle is almost and extra wide so you need to take that into consideration when ordering one of the Ideal saddles.

Don't be put off by the wide twist, although it looks wide it doesn't feel or ride wide, give it a try first.

The Passier Relevant dressage saddle is designed with a cut back pommel to allow for high withers and greater freedom of movement. Developed with the cooperation of Lisa Wilcox and her trainer Ernst Hoyosi, the Relevant will place you in the optimum correct dressage position with the minimum of fuss.

The saddle is built around a synthetic saddle tree with a choice of 2 thigh supports, the Lisa Wilcox or the generic Relevant supports. The supports help the leg to relax thereby creating a longer and deeper position so as to achieve a closer contact with the horse.

With soft, padded saddle panels and a wider channel of 5cm (2") the Relevant sits easily and comfortably on any horse.
